    So much for that.
She just dumped me. Via journal.

    [Private: Alicia]
    I'm telling everyone today, love.

    [Private: Myron]
Hey, mind if I drop in after the show tonight for a chat? Promise it won't take long. You won't even miss the afterparty.

    [Private: Kirley]
Hey mate, can we have a chat? I've got something I need to tell you.

[Private: Band and company, minus Myron and Kirley]
I have a bit of an announcement to make. No, I'm not leaving the band. Let's just get that out there. I'm going to tell Myron and Kirley in person so if you wouldn't mind not telling them until I have a chance, I'd appreciate it a lot.

Alicia Spinnet and I have been dating for going on five months now. I didn't want to upset anyone by telling them, didn't want to jump the gun or even make it public enough where the tabloids could latch on, but... I love her. And I can't continue to keep her a secret. It's too hard. I'm sorry I didn't tell anyone sooner. I've just had... well, when I was with Marie last year, once the tabloids got hold she couldn't take it. Guess I'm a bit afraid of the same thing happening again. I care more about Ali than I ever have anyone before. It's kind of scary, but in a good way.

    DEAR SWEET HERMYKINS

It's been half an hour since you last owled, me is everything all right? You haven't forgotten me, have you? Moved on to bigger and better things? You know I don't like it when I don't hear from you. I worry.

Besides, I miss those beautiful, beautiful hands when you're away.

Gifts are great, guys. I especially have to appreciate the earmuffs... I need those with the 'characters' on that bus!

Guys, Can we save the band-wide birthday shindig for another evening? Even tomorrow, I swear I'll be ready to party down and get shitfaced and all that awesomeness, but I've got some plans with someone else elsewhere for tonight.

    Attention: Weird Sisters

We will soon be seeking a new drummer. Our current ferret-loving drummer has decided to put a half-rotted cheese sandwich under my pillow. I'm thinking he won't be with us much longer.

    Orsino.... I'm coming for you!

I feel like I just slept for a week even though I'm well aware it was only about 16 hours. I must have been tired if I managed to sleep on that bus ride. Godric, I think I woke up at one point and it sounded like you guys were bowling. Bowling with exploding bowling balls. And I'm pretty sure Kirley was giggling. Don't lie. you giggle like a girl, Duke.

Now I'm actually coherent again and am, as a result, not speaking like a drunk person. Or like a Myron. Remind me to never get a concussion and then go without sleep for 40something hours again, all right? All right.

Wags, were you jumping up and down next to my bunk at some point? Screaming something about "The fucking hippogriff song, mate! It was the fucking hippogriff song!" I seem to remember that. You looked a little crazy.

Oi, Gids, where's a good place to get a tat done around here? Wherever the fuck we are... where are we playing tonight again? I need a new tat and you're the expert.

    RUN FOR THE MOTHERFUCKING HILLS!

    Myra won at Scrabble.
This can't be a good sign for anyone.

    FREE AT LAST.

I should write a memoir about my time in the slammer. It was terrible. And the healer I saw said I have a concussion. I'm concussed. That explains why I was such an idiot.

Anyone who comes to the show tonight gets to see me on no sleep with a black eye and a nose that was broken but it's not now (healer fixed it) and a swollen split lip. All because of Myron. The things I do for my only bandmate with boobs.

[In reference to a thread that shall be posted soon in which Wags and Tremlett get arrested for beating up paparazzi]

Oi. Someone gonna bail us out soon? I need sleep and Myra won't let me.

    IC

    Full Name: Donaghan McKinley Tremlett
    Nicknames: Don
    Journal: [info]weirdstepsister
    Age: 20
    Birthday: November 1, 1975
Loyalty: His band, even if they drive him nuts.
    Marital Status: Single
    Bloodline: Muggleborn
    Sexuality: Straight
    House: Gryffindor
    Year Graduated: 1994
Occupation: Bassist for the Weird Sisters
    Played By: Tyson Ritter

Strengths: Music, music, music. Also, bar fights, yelling at his bandmates, sleeping through their ridiculousness, and bar fights. His right hook is killer.
Weaknesses: Actually shutting up his bandmates, schoolwork, temper.
Likes: Playing bass, playing piano, playing guitar, playing the keyboard, producing music. Girls, but not one-night stands, running, beer, the Kestrels, fighting. His band.
Dislikes: His band (sometimes), record label execs, one-night-stands, slutty girls who come on to him, people taking his picture constantly, tabloid stories.
Overall Personality: Donaghan is a low-key guy with a love for peace and quiet, which is at odds with his rockstar occupation. Off the stage he far prefers to remain unbothered by the media and just hang out with his friends and, yes, sleep at a normal hour without being woken up by a beer bottle hitting him in the face or a Myron jumping onto his stomach. On the stage, he's a star, off of it he just wants to be a normal guy. Out of the band, he was the one who didn't really want to make the big time, but he wasn't going to abandon his friends when they did. He's learning to like it better but it's still a process.

Parents: Maureen Tremlett-Feist (Father unknown), Richard Feist (stepfather)
Siblings: Bray Tremlett, would be 26, deceased. Danielle Feist (16), Lacey Feist (13), Patricia Feist (11) (all muggles)
Significant Other: It's a secret. Or it will be.
Children: None. And yes, that counts unknown bastards. There are none.
Overall Family Dynamics: Maureen Tremlett raised Don and Bray alone until he was ten years old when she married Richard Feist and had a whole herd of crazy blond girls who kind of freaked him out a lot. He did help take care of his sisters though, and he will beat anyone who messes with them. they are never allowed to date. He doesn't call Richard dad, but he does consider him one. Bray was his best friend throughout childhood, despite the age gap. When Bray died of a drug overdose at age 20, Don was crushed.

History: Donaghan Tremlett was the second child to born to the second father on the list for Maureen Tremlett. His brother, Bray, had been born when his mother was sixteen years old to her high school sweetheart who left her, and Don was the result of a one-night stand with a man who he knows only as having the name "Michael Bronwen." He assumes he is muggleborn, though in reality his father could have been magical. Don never met him.

His family, despite the lack of a father around, was a close unit that worked well together. Don was a scrawny kid from the start and by the time he started school, he was picked on constantly by bigger boys. His brother beat the bullies up as long as he was still in school with Don, but once he had to move on the secondary school, he taught Don how to fight and defend himself. That was where he got a taste for a good fight. There was nothing more satisfying to the little boy than knocking bullies down a notch, because they never messed with him again after he knocked them flat on the pavement after school.

He was six years old when he began showing signs of magic. His mother, baffled by why her son was able to remove a vial of nasty tasting medicine from her hands and smash it against a wall without touching it, took him to the doctor who recommended that Maureen get psychological help. The answer didn't come until Donaghan was 11 years old and received his letter from a place called Hogwarts. Maureen was disbelieving, but a visit from good old Dumbledore cleared it up nicely. The fall of his 12th year, he got on the Hogwarts express, leaving his brother (in his last year of high school) back at home while he went off on a brand new adventure.

He was sorted into Gryffindor. He was never the most sociable of boys. Book-smarts were never his thing and he had to study incredibly hard for his average marks. Hardly anyone even knew that he was interested in music until his seventh year when he thought he was alone in the common room and a gaggle of girls walked in--suddenly interested in him romantically, which made him terribly, terribly shy.

When he was fifteen years old, shortly before winter hols, Donaghan found out that his big brother Bray, who had been struggling with a heroin addiction for almost a year, had overdosed and died. He took his exams upon returning to school in January because he went home to be with his mother and the rest of his family. It was crushing for him and explains his complete hatred of drug use. Don himself rarely even takes prescription potions or over-the-counter medicine for the likes of headaches (which his band gives him a LOT of).

He did meet most of the Weird Sisters at school though, and while they knew he played and he knew they played, things didn't really click until the winter hols of his seventh year (after the girls had discovered him) when he went for an open audition for a bassist. While bass wasn't his first (or last) instrument, he was good at it and landed the spot.

He never expected to make it big, but suddenly after graduation, Jonesy was in the picture and they were catapulting toward stardom. Don will never be confident with the rock star thing. He prefers behind-the-scenes stuff. He produces all of the tracks for all of their albums himself. He loves being on stage, but off the stage he does his best to hide from the paparazzi. He does not partake in womanizing or drug-using behavior, but he has been known to drink and be obsessed with the Kenmare Kestrels to the point that he has been thrown in jail for beating people up at matches. He prefers to sit in the cheap seats wearing a cap and sunglasses. People don't bug him with cameras that way.

What plot lines would you like to see with this character? Weird sisters and a secret girlfriend. IDK?

    Audition Piece
    Myron and Kirley.
Please stop shouting at the top of your lungs at one another between your bunks. We are on a bus. It is small. I know you can hear one another even if you use your inside voices.
And I would tell you this out loud instead of writing it but no one can hear a thing over Myron's girly squeal. She sounds like a chipmunk.

Short Bio Donaghan Tremlett was the second son of a delighfully blended family. He is the bassist (and the QUIET member) for the Weird Sisters, is uncomfortable with his fame, actually wants to settle down with a wife someday and have kids. Meanwhile he is hiding from the tabloids as best he can and enjoying life – and sleep, when he can get it.
